Ask & Learn聞問(wèn)切英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ):On the Edge, On Edge
讀者 Joe 來(lái)電郵問(wèn):on the edge和on edge 有什么分別?
我們說(shuō) on the edge 的時(shí)候,是指這些實(shí)物的邊。
例如:
A small ant is crawling along the edge of the table.
Don't walk on the edge of the cliff. It could be dangerous.
You'd better shape up, or out of the door you go. That'd give you a reason to be on edge.
